About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst – eMR Performance to be responsible for managing data systems and reporting on electronic medical record (eMR) performance across NSW Health. This role will work with a range of stakeholders across the health system, including IT development, senior clinicians, managers and executive leadership teams to develop recommendations and support the development of the eMR.

eMR Performance is NSW Health’s service for ensuring that the use and usability of the eMR system is robust, reduces user impact and is fit for purpose.

You will be working with a dedicated team of IT Professionals to bring eMR performance data to the clinicians and managers of NSW Health.

We understand flexible work is a priority for most people and have the systems and policies in place to support it. This may include a mix of working from home and / or in one of our offices in Chatswood, St Leonards, and Parramatta.

About you

If you are an experienced Data Analyst with skills in ETL, AWS and machine learning on large (>3TB) data sets then we encourage you to apply.

  • Highly independent with a strong work ethic
  • Strong visualisation skills
  • Strong SQL (Oracle + Athena/Presto) as well as R or Python development
  • Experience with streaming application data
  • Understanding of eMR use in clinical settings

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
